Why ESG isn’t enough

The ESG label is now used so frequently that it is in danger of becoming a substitute for thought.

What does it really mean? Is it  another way of describing a good company? Do the environmental, social and environmental categories logically fit together? How is the global context changing with the partial retreat from global supply chain?

I have had increasing scepticism about the way ESG is thrown around. In this dialogue I object to the way it excludes discussion of of a company’s character and ignores its track record over a significant period of time.

In this video I suggest some different criteria and methods of assessing the quality and impact of companies.
